Sweepstakes winner for the best arrangement in the Fair's Land Products Show was Salem's Donald Strausbaugh. Better fessionals and non-profession-The sweaters alone would put many an old gram' who's been knitting for years to shame, als alike. All are worth seeing.

Photographs in the international salon exhibit are really international from New Jersey and New Delhi, Rome and Gnome. Lcbanonitc Gets Wish, In Prison Walter Wads Slocum, It, of Lebanon, got his wish Friday He was sent to prison. Slocum asked the Lane County Circuit Court last week to revoke his probation and send him to prison. He said he'd rather serve a two-year term and get It over with, than spend five years on probation. Judge William Fort revoked probation after reviewing a psychiatric examination report on Slocum. The report said there was no reason to deny Slocum's request.

Central Point; Scaros Micka, Merrill; Max- Championships in 4-H woodworking, knitting and clothing divisions were announced today by Oregon State Fair officials. In woodworking, Robert Earls, Salem, was named champion in the senior division with his entry of a knicknack shelf. Intermediate division champion was Mark Elliott, Dallas, who built an oak stool to take top honors. Two Forest Grove brothers, Paul and Linus Hermens, were named champions in the junior and intermediate power tools divisions. Paul took top honors in the junior division with entry of mahogany bookcase.

Linus was tops in the intermediates with a corner step table. Named co-champions of the Clothing VI division were Joann Werth, Willamina, and Karla Tohl, Tillamook. Special awards, for all wool dresses went to Betty Gilbert. Pilot Rock, "and a Tollefson, Hermiston. In Clothing III competition, Ann( WALTER McMANlS of Central Point was among the delegation which made Jackson County'sooth so attractive for the Oregon State Fair.
